Every family has its own DNA.
Hebrews 2:10-18:
“In bringing many sons and daughters to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through what he suffered. Both the one who makes people holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters.
Since the children have flesh and blood, he too shared in their humanity so that by his death he might break the power of him who holds the power of death—that is, the devil—and free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death. For surely it is not angels he helps, but Abraham’s descendants. For this reason he had to be made like them, fully human in every way, in order that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in service to God, and that he might make atonement for the sins of the people. Because he himself suffered when he was tempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted.”
There’s nothing that you have gone through that Jesus has not felt and crucified on the cross.
He did it for people like us. He has no favorites . He value’s each and every one of us.
He did it to help us. So now when faced with temptations we can make Godly decisions.
He did it to help us become family. His family. Citizens of Gods Kingdom. You and I are His family.
At New Hope our purpose is to present the Gospel of Jesus Christ in such a way that turns non Christians into converts, converts into disciples, and disciples into mature, fruitful leaders who will in turn go into the world and reach the others for Christ.
9 core values:
1. we believe that every person, Christian and non Christian alike, is valuable to God and to his Kingdom.
Because people are eternally valuable to god, they are to us as well. Responsible evangelism will always be our cause and ongoing discipleship will always be the core of the ministry.
2.We believe that “doing church as a team” is Gods design for effective ministry.
3. we believe that a simple presentation of Jesus christ in creative ways will impact and transform lives.
4. In keeping with the great commandment ,we believe every member should commit to a life style of consist ant spiritual growth with honest accountability.
5. We believe that every member is a minister who has been given gifts to be discovered, developed and deployed.
6. We believe that God is worthy of our very best.
7. We believe that genuine love and caring relationships are key to the life of every endeavor.
8. we believe that the most effective evangelism happens through people inviting people.
9. We believe in identifying and training emerging leaders who are fully committed to christ and who will reach their generation with the Gospel.
Mathew 18:14:
“Even so it is not the will of your Father which is in heaven, that one of these little ones should perish.”
Mathew 25: 40-45:
“The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
“Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’
“They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’
“He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’ And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.”
we should be doing for one another what Jesus would do for us
2 Peter 3:9
“ The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”
God is waiting for you to do what he has asked you to do . that’s why he hasn’t come back yet because we still have purpose in this world. We are here, representing Him. He doesn’t want anyone lost. But the will not be found unless all of us are committed so we can reach our generation. its an amazing privilege that we get to share life with them and share the gospel with everyone. Love everyone with the love of christ. Don’t write them off. He is giving us space and time to change.
We are his family. We have his DNA and are carrying his presence with us. We should value everyone. God is holding things back so we can learn. we need to be fully committed so we can reach this generation and value everyone like He values us.
