Today at church we had the second part of the series with a lady called Charity preaching. She was preaching about Evangelism.

We talked about how we need to share God with people and that for the last years we have had an explosion of evangelism. There are street pastors, ministries, healing on the streets and others. Now the older ways of handing our tapes no longer works but the street pastors are found to be attending festivals and schools and this will grow.

Charity saw a vision. The vision was of a group of many people. She asked God who they were and He replied that its His army for the end times. wow 🙂

The work place is a place where we should share our beliefs. It isn’t just in the office. It is anywhere you go for the business. Although, now a days in most jobs we just can’t share the gospel with them. We are almost forbidden to do so. That is the problem, if we can’t share we get discouraged that it isn’t working. We must remember that we have spiritual gifts and God can help us with these.

There are 7 mountains:
Church, Media, Arts & Entertainment, Government, Education, Family, Business & Economy.
These are mountains in which we could share the gospel. We do need to understand our purpose and then we live with such purpose.

Charity said that she had a friend who was a doctor. The doctor said she felt much less spiritual than her and Charity couldn’t believe her ears. She said that we shouldn’t be… that her friend is working with God and she couldn’t do what she is doing. That she is doing what God wants her to do and is saving children from parts of their body that are injured so they can live a normal life. How would you feel less spiritual? God gave her that ability and she can talk about God in her work place. That is the way we should think. No one is less spiritual than the other.

What do you feel that God is asking you to do? Sometimes we feel we don’t have the skills or we think we have the skill at a lower level than we need. We can ask God for it though.. There are people who were given a whole language over night because they were called to a different nation.. lets seek him.

Ask yourself these questions:
– What do you have in yours hands already?
– What is the vision/mandate God is giving you?
– Where are you positioned?
– What is your Sphere of influence?

If we know what we have, people will ask us how we have such compassion and joy.. even in the bad times.
People feel that they don’t have power. They play computer games or watch movies but when they are no better of!

Daniel 4 verse 6-8
‘So I issued an order calling in all the wise men of Babylon, so they could tell me what my dream meant. When all the magicians, enchanters, astrologers  and fortune tellers come in, I told them the dream, but they could not tell me what it meant. At last Daniel came in before me and I told him the dream. (He was named Belteshazzer after my God, and the spirit of the holy gods is in him.)

Daniel carried the spirit of the holy God and you carry the spirit of the holy God. The people on this earth, the ones that wear suits and think they have power, they look for that power in the news and news papers. If the church doesn’t learn how to hear God then the people will keep looking for the truth in these doomed places. Can you imagine the impact Joseph had? God is looking for Josephs and Daniels. They felt overwhelmed and that the world was more powerful but they believed God has the most power. Some of us are overwhelmed but maybe we are building character to build a relationship with God.

Impartation is a secret weapon in the mountains. Jesus imparted the power of the Kingdom but he knew what he carried. We must believe that we can impart. Without saying a word you can ask God what you carry in faith and release that in the workplace. They begin to come to you and open up to you even when you didn’t say anything. God wants us to have fresh hope and lay down the feeling of not being as spiritual as others. We shouldn’t be afraid.

Planet Earth as You’ve Never Thought of it Before…

After I finished my blog post yesterday, I told you I was going to church. So, at New Hope last night, the sermon was on planet earth. It was about our assignment on planet earth. That planet earth isn’t our home but it is our assignment from God. Heaven is our home.

We need to actually remember that we have an assignment on earth because other wise we will value worldly things more and forget what we are actually here to do.

Mathew 4:19
‘And he said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you fishers of men.”‘

Mark 1:17
‘
And Jesus said to them, “Follow Me, and I will make you become fishers of men.”‘

Why did Jesus say this? I hear you ask. Its because, He is a fisher of man. If we spend time with God then we will also become and this and share the Gospel with the nations. The thing is, everybody is looking for the truth but they don’t know where to find it. They are tired of all the lies. But, people aren’t interested in our religious beliefs. They are just interested about their life on this earth.
If we are to be a Christ centered Church then we will be a church that knows our assignment.
Heaven is going to be amazing right? we all know that 🙂 we will be mesmerized bu Gods work, we won’t see a non Christian. On this earth we can take people with us there, to heaven, to paradise.

1. A Christ Centered Church connects everything it does to a soul.
We are becoming to comfortable on the earth and forgetting why we are here…

John 4:35
‘Do not say, ‘There are yet four months , and then comes the harvest’? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look on the fields, that they are white for harvest.’

What matters most of all is the souls that are being saved. Everything we do is for the sake of souls. God values Christians and non-Christians the same. We are not just here as a gathering of Christians, we are here also to be Gods co-workers. In Heaven, God will ask us, “How many  children did you bring home with you?”
We won’t have another chance at this life again. Now is the time.

2. A Christ Centered Church never forgets her assignment.
You might think God can’t use you. You might think you too young, too old, not good enough, not wise enough. That doesn’t matter. God uses everyone . We have one life to give.

John 20:21
‘So Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you; as the Father has sent Me, I also send you.’
We are sent people. God has a great plan and purpose for you. He wants us to make the most of every opportunity. To bring them home.

Why are we here? that is the question…
We are here to love others. We made the decision to obey God and follow him.

3. A Christ Centered Church chooses to love the people in its community and its calling to reach them.
No matter how bad people may seem or how unlovable they may seem, we must love anyway. Harder than it sounds.. but the greatest love is the love of choice.

For example, if you run simply because you love loving, you will run forever. When you love simply for loving people, you will love them forever.

Mathew 20:34
‘Moved with compassion, Jesus touched their eyes; and immediately they regained their sight and followed Him.’

We are here to love. We are here to build people because its people God died for not for things such as our reputations.
Jesus was moved by compassion. Miracles are usually prefaced by compassion.

*look at 1 Corinthians 13.*

Love never ever gives up. The love of Christ transforms us. Love doesn’t force itself on itself. We must trust God always. The love of God transforms us to become like Jesus.
‘Its not the magnitude of our actions but the love that we put into them that matters.’
If we love, even the small things give us joy.

4. A Christ Centered Church chooses that about everything else.
2 Corinthians 5:14
‘For the love of Christ controls us, having concluded thins, that one died for all, therefore all died;’

If the love of God controls us then we won’t be here for us. We will understand that it is our assignment. We always have to know what our assignment is. We have to choose to love the people who God puts around us,. We have to choose to be controlled by Gods love. The Devil will try to tell us lies but we won’t listen to them! In Heaven we will never see a non Christian again, now is our chance to bring others with us, home, to paradise.

Pinterest Update – Travelling.

Now.. we all know I love travelling 🙂 From road trips 30 minuets away to flights across the world. Its just something that I become so excited about.. so so excited about so of course it has to be a ‘board’ on my Pinterest. Before I get into the beautiful pictures I have found, I wanted to tell you about what I have been thinking about this week.

This week I have been thinking about my devotional life. yup. It is probably something quit normal to think about but I was thinking about it a lot this week. I like to wake up in the morning, early. Or earlier than probably most teenagers. I aim to wake up at 6am. The thing is.. that stretches to 6.30 and I get ready for 7 and read. Then I wake Rachael up at 7.30… that only gives me 30 minutes. Personally, I didn’t think that is enough time for me to spend with God in the morning. So, I was thinking about it. I want to be as excited about getting up in the morning to read and pray as much as I am for going on holiday or on a road trips. Here’s something for you to laugh at. When I was younger, I packed my suitcase 3 months before going on holidays. 😀 yes.. every time I would count exactly 3 months and start packing. Its quit funny actually. Anyway, back to the point 😉 During the week, I was watching a sermon by my friend Peta about devotional life (perfect timing eh? 😀 ) and now that I have been trying to spend more time with God, if I don’t read my bible for long enough in the morning I come home from school and drink tea and read. For example, today was great!! I came home and made tea (Oh my… I’ve been drinking Earl Grey with Honey… 😀 ) and read my bible for a while. Then, I played guitar for a while and wrote two songs. One of which isn’t even recordable yet and the other which is just recordable. Peta and I both love to play guitar and sing but we all know that I could never ever even to Peta, one of my best friends, sing that in front of her when know one else has ever heard it. Nope, just wouldn’t happen. So, trusty Whatsapp did the job and she listened to it.. I was so nervous.. I had butterfly’s 😀 (pathetic, I know) About 5 minuets later, I got a Facebook update saying that she had tagged me in a post.
Here is what it said: “So Lisa Frantz just sent me a recording of her latest song… Seriously one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever heard. Jesus is happy. So am I 🙂 ”

How encouraging! I’m not very confident and to get that encouragement just made my day. Seriously 🙂 I have wonderful friends.

So, my point is, I am aiming to be as excited for devotional time as I am going on holiday 😀
Here are the all important travelling pinterest pictures 😉 I’m of to church now 🙂

I think I have showed you my Pinterest once before? Well, I am going to split up my Pinterest updates. So, first up… Autumn fashion!:)

I do love clothes, I must say. Autumn though, is one of my favorite seasons for fashion. Winter is just absolutely freezing and you can’t be bothered making an effort and just go out in wool leggings and a huge jumper. Maybe that’s just me… But Autumn, it isn’t too cold that you can’t cope, but just the perfect amount of cold to still be able to make an effort and want to wear autumnal clothes. I love the colors too.. the browns, greens, oranges, reds. And the pretty, cosy jumpers… love it!
So here are some of my favorites:)

Being Creative in Other Ways…

church, conference, create, creativity, dance, devil, dreams, earth, faith, friends, God, heaven, jesus, Lawyers, life, Lifestyle, nation, prophecy, prophetic, truth, Understanding, world

Today at church we looked at creativity in more depth. When I think of creativity, I think of  art and music or poetry, stuff like that. Today though, we talked about creativity being how God introduced himself.

We introduce ourselves in different ways. For example, if you have children and your meeting the parents of your children’s friends you would introduce yourself as your children’s mother. Where as, if you were speaking at a conference you wouldn’t introduce yourself in that way. So, the way you introduce yourself is certainly important. The first line in the bible says; ‘In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.’
I have never looked at Genesis 1:1 in that way before, its really important though! Creativity was the very first. We must understand creativity because it is going to be one of the most important weapons in the end times.

Some how, what He was trying to get across to us is lost but we all have the creativity of God because we were made in the image of Him. He gave us his DNA. The world is full of creativity… through music, television, advertisement, dance. But truthfully, this worldly creativity screams out the devil.

The definition of creativity is gifted, inventive, visionary. Sadly, we now think that creativity is a world thing. The thing is, Jesus modeled a creative lifestyle. When we think of wisdom, we think of  people like Doctors or Lawyers we wouldn’t associate it with art but wisdom is Gods master piece. Jesus healed people and God talks to us its through creativity, right? through visions, dreams, prophecy. We need to learn how to hear him.

Fire is coming to the nation. We have to pray for our land and understand what our place is in the nation. Let’s try and restore the creative DNA.

Prayer for Persecuted Christians.

Last night a couple of friends and I went to a prayer meeting at Kings. This prayer meeting was a bit different to what I was used to, in a good way. Their was a band, colorful lights, blankets and cushions of the floor for those who want to pray there, bean bags, chairs, decorations and of course, tea. The atmosphere was so peaceful and happy.

Firstly, we prayed for whatever we wanted, for our lives, for our friends, anything. Then, people came up and we concentrated on a number of things such as, Family’s marriages, orphans, persecuted Christians, youth, schools and others that I can’t remember at this moment. The one that stuck out to me was persecuted Christians. I don’t know about you, but sometimes at prayer meetings when we are concentrating on specific subjects I just listen to other people praying and forget to pray myself. Last night, there was a man who ‘took us on a journey’. He told us countries around the world that were safe and others that were not. I just stared at him in astonishment (in a good way) of the knowledge he had of all these places! I wanted to know the things he did. I don’t know if it was something God had put on my heart or whether this mans way of telling us about these places was just intriguing to me, but either way, I think we should spend more time praying for our brothers and sisters who are being persecuted while we sit around praying about ourselves and the troubles we have in our own lives. Even though our troubles are so important to God too.. of course! But I think that I spend too much time praying for things that I want to happen or things that I want to change that I forget that this isn’t the only country in the world and there are others suffering. They are our brothers and sisters and we need to pray that they have hope and trust in God and that he makes himself known to them when they are frightened. So, lets pray more for the ones who are being persecuted for their faith.

New Music!!

Recently, by recently I mean last night Rachael and I decided we would like a couple of new albums. So, we had the smashing idea of paying half each. We bought Tides by Bethel music and Young and Free by Hillsong. I must say, I haven’t listened to a lot of Hillsong. Even though they are pretty well known in the Christian music circle 😀 But, this Young and Free album has totally changed my mind about not having their music on my phone!
To describe it in short, they use the style that secular (if that’s what you call it, Peta? haha!) takes and send out great messages instead of the worldly words. It is wonderful! If you haven’t listened to it, I suggest you do that right now. In the mean time, I will show you some of my favorite music just now. Including another album: Passion – Let the Future Begin which is also great 🙂

So, be prepared for a music overload.

You know, If you asked me a year or two ago who were in the top 10 of the music charts that week, I could of told you that plus a back ground check. I knew a lot about that stuff. Now, I don’t. I don’t have a clue what song is playing on the radio these days. I only know some from friends or songs I recognize from when they have been played numerous times on MFR. I could tell you about loads of celebrities because I read those magazines. Now, I don’t do that and you know, my brain isn’t being filled with what ever is being said in these songs and magazines. My brain is being filled with the love of God. I like it better this way.

Music is one of the main reasons for opportunity for talking about God. In school, I listen to music a lot. Now in fifth year, the teachers don’t mind as much if we listen to music. There is always that one friend who has forgotten their earphones and asks to listen to your music. I let them listen, and hear. They eventually ask if its Christian and so it goes.

I really recommend especially the Young & Free album by Hillsong.

Enjoy!

Prayer.

Today, church was just wonderful. Apart from the sermon on prayer the worship band today turned a chart song into a Christian song. It was great! 🙂 So today, we talked about prayer.

Luke 11:
One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.”
He said to them, “When you pray, say:
“Our Father,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come, your will be done on earth as it is in heaven
Give us each day our daily bread. Forgive us our sins,
for we also forgive everyone who sins against us.
And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.”

That’s the first time they asked him to teach them anything. So he taught them the Lords prayer.
We concentrated a bit on “Our Father…”, the first two words of the prayer. We share inheritance with our Father.

Prayer is, A personal Connection.
In the midst of prayer, is a throne. This is a place of having a Kingdom connection where God is in the throne.

‘Holy holy is the Lord God almighty.’
We stand in the presence of the King of Kings.

Prayer is, worship.
God has so many names, important names.
Tisdenu – Our righteousness
Shalom – Peace
Rophe – God who heals.
Jireh – provider.

Whether I spelled those right, I don’t know. But you get the idea.

They Kingdom come means thy Kingdom has come, is here and will come.
Acts 2:
“When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them.  All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled the spirit enabled them.”

Every 25 minuets 3,000 people go to the Kingdom of God. The kingdom has come. Gods will is done on earth as it is in heaven.

No one is written off in prayer. No one. We need to learn to forgive. Fully and freely. We are asking for illumination and light so we can stand clearly. We need the fathers help.
