Successful Or Faithful.

” ‘1 Thessalonians 5:24: “The one who calls you is faithful,
and he will do it.’

We mustn’t confuse success with faithfulness. There is nothing wrong with being successful, but it doesn’t mean you’ve been faithful. Or maybe we simply need to redefine or qualify what success is. Mother Teresa of Calcutta was once asked, ‘How do you measure the success of your work?‘ She looked puzzled for a moment and then replied, ‘I don’t remember that the Lord ever spoke of success. He spoke only of faithfulness in love. This is the only success that really counts.’
Today’s short verse says three things: God calls us. He’s faithful. He’ll do it. If we respond to his call, he will be faithful, and he’ll accomplish what he wants. That’s what Mother Theresa is getting at when she rejects success for “faithfulness in love.”
Are we faithful in what God has entrusted us with – in terms of our talents, our finances, our relationships, our ambitions? Are our ptiorites aligned with his? Whether we’re involved in business, politics, education, or the arts, are we blindly pursuing personal glory and success, or seeking to be Christs ambassador where he has placed us?
Oswald Chambers writes, ‘We are not called to be successful in accordance with ordinary standards, but in accordance with a ear of wheat falling into the ground and dying, becoming in that way what it never could be if it were to abide alone.’
The nature of faithfulness in love is that it is sacrificial. Chris laid down his life for us. In turn what will that look like for you this week?”

Much love

Today I bought a book by one of the Youtubers who’s videos I have been watching for years. Fleur released a book this month and it makes me really proud actually. There are a lot of chapters on different topics but as I was flicking through, I found a small chapter called ‘Reading Your Dreams’. Now, I am in no way confirming that anything written is something I have researched but I thought it was interesting because after I read it I found some that apply to me. Most of the time I don’t really pay attention to my dreams but I am always confused as to why we get them. Here is what the chapter says about some of the most common dreams people have:

” Death dreams have a variety of different influences and potential meanings. A lot of the time they signify a change in your life. Pay attention to who or what is dying in your dream, as it often signifies the loss of something associated with that person. Death dreams can actually be quite positive, and signify the need to move on from certain issues or influences in your life. Most importantly, don’t take death dreams too literally, or associate them with a bad omen.

Being chased in your dreams can signify anxiety in your life. It’s important to focus on who is chasing you and why. Chasing dreams are often linked to avoidance, fear of something, or self-denial (the latter especially so if you are running away from yourself).

Falling dreams are usually closely linked to a current situation or feeling in your life, rather than something more deeply rooted. It might be an insecurity or a loss of control. Don’t be surprised or worried by falling dreams if you are going through a stressful time in your life, as they can often be directly attributed to feelings of instability and a lack of confidence.

Flying dreams are often amongst the best dreams and are usually positive experiences. Flying above things can signify moving on or getting over obstacles in your life and achieving freedom from things that hold you back I often have dreams about struggling to get off the ground, managing to fly for a few meters but coming quickly back down to the ground. While this is a fairly common occurrence in dreams, it can be frustrating and tends to signify lack of confidence or motivation.

Exam dreams are another of the most common and can often occur when you have no upcoming actual test in your life. They usually signify nervousness, a fear of failure or a lack of confidence for an upcoming challenge, whatever form it may take. The main focus during exam or test dreams should be the process rather than the content of the test itself. Try to focus on the experience of being tested, rather than what’s in the test in order to pinpoint the source of the issue.

Cheating dreams are very common and usually stem from low self-esteem or trust issues in a relationship. Ty to identify why you might feel at risk from your partner cheating. Often it might be due to lack of attention or other issues in your relationship, but a lot of the time it stems from simple insecurity.

Naked dreams often represent insecurity, fear of exposure, vulnerability, falling short of your goals or being unprepared for a task at hand.

Teeth dreams are also fairly common. Dreams in which you are losing your teeth often signify an underlying insecurity about your looks or fears of public embarrassment, but also communication problems or feelings of powerlessness or concern over health issues.”

I just found this extremely interesting because although I don’t know a lot about the topic and although I don’t base my life around my dreams or necessarily pay that much attention to my dreams, there are two recent dreams that I can’t get out of my head so reading this just allowed me to understand them a little bit. The ones that apply to me are the Death dreams ( have a variety of different influences and potential meanings. A lot of the time they signify a change in your life. Pay attention to who or what is dying in your dream, as it often signifies the loss of something associated with that person. Death dreams can actually be quite positive, and signify the need to move on from certain issues or influences in your life. Most importantly, don’t take death dreams too literally, or associate them with a bad omen.)  and the Being chased ( in your dreams can signify anxiety in your life. It;s important to focus on who is chasing you and why. Chasing dreams are often linked to avoidance, fear of something, or self-denial (the latter especially so if you are running away from yourself).dreams which are dreams that I would call nightmares and I can’t remember the last time I had a nightmare like that so it startle me a little bit.

Date a Girl Who Travels.

I found this blog post after reading a post by a girl I follow. She re-posted ‘Date a Girl Who Writes’ (  http://kuuleilani.wordpress.com/2014/05/13/date-a-girl-who-writes/  ) Soon after, I found this blog post, Date a Girl who Travels ( http://www.solitarywanderer.com/2012/02/date-a-girl-who-travels/  ) and just added some of my own pictures 🙂

I fell in love with the way it is written and how true it is. Have a read yourself.

“Date a girl who travels. Date a girl who would rather save up for out of town trips or day trips than buy new shoes or clothes. She may not look like a fashion plate, but behind that tanned and freckled face from all the days out in the sun, lies a mind than can take you places and an open heart that will take your for what you are, not for what you can be.

Date a girl who travels. You’ll recognize her by the backpack she always carries. She won’t be carrying a dainty handbag, where will she put her travel journal, her pens and the LED flashlight that’s always attached to her bag’s zipper? In a small purse, how can she bring the small coil of travel string, the wet tissues, the box of cracker, and the bottle of water she’s always ready with, just in case something happens and she can’t go home yet.

Image

Yes, a girl who travels knows that anytime, anything can happen and she just has to be prepared with it. Nothing takes her by surprise, she takes everything with equanimity, knowing that such things are always a part of life. She’s reliable and dependable, traits that she’s learned while on the road.

You’ll also recognize a girl who travels by the fact that she’s always amazed at the world around her, no matter if she’s in her hometown or in a place that’s totally new. She sees beauty all around her, not just the ones featured in travel guides or shown in postcards. A girl who travels has developed a deeper appreciation for life. She won’t judge you, or pressure you to do things you don’t want to do. She knows too much about the importance of identity and self-efficacy, and she will appreciate all the more if you won’t pretend to be who you’re not.

You can make mistakes with a girl who travels, and you can also be as idiosyncratic as you can be. Trust me, she has seen so much worse in her travels, and knows firsthand the vagaries of human nature.

Date a girl who travels, because when you’re with her, you’ll realize that even though she’s napped at a temple in Angkor Wat, went boating down the Mekong Delta, ran by the streets of Saigon, or went skinny-dipping in the caves in the Philippines, she still retains that humility that is the mark of a real traveler. She knows she’s been to a lot of places, but she’s humbled by the fact that the world is still a big places and she’s only seen a small part of it. Seeing this in her can make you feel all right with yourself too; there’s no need for you to do more, to be more. What you are is enough.

Image

When you meet a girl who travels, ask her where she’s been and what she’s going to do next. She will appreciate your interest, and if you’re lucky, she may even invite you to join her. When she does, do. Nothing bonds people better than traveling. On your trip, you will both see each other’s best and worst characteristics, and you can then decide whether she’s worth fighting for.

It’s easy enough to date a girl who travels. She won’t want expensive gifts, you can buy her (or both of you) cheap ticket to Thailand for the weekend, and she’ll be more than happy to take you to the longest wooden bridge in the country. You don’t even have to go overseas, you can take her out on day trips, caving or hiking, or treat her to a full body massage.

You can also buy her the little things that she keeps forgetting to buy for herself; that carbine that will attach her backpack to her seat so that she will feel easier about sleeping on her bus trip, or a backpack cover, a small alarm clock, a money belt, or many another sarong that will replace the one she lost in China.

She won’t mind if you get lost on your way to a date. She knows that often times, the journey is more important than the destination. She will help you see the lighter side of things. She’ll walk along with you, not behind you, pointing out the interesting bits of things you’ll see on the way. Before long, you’ll realize that yes, the journey has been more memorable than the destination that you’ve planned to take her to.

Image

Is a girl who travels worth it? Yes, she is. So when you find her, keep her. Don’t lose her with your insecurities and doubts. Because when she says she loves you, she really does. After all, she’s seen so many things, met so many people, and if she has chosen you, better grab that opportunity and thank the gods that you were lucky enough she’s chosen you and not that bloke she met while watching the sunrise in Angkor Wat, or while whitewater rafting in the Padas Gorge in Sabah.

If she says she loves you, she must have seen something in you, something that can always call her back from her travels, something that can anchor her to the world in the way that she wants to after weeks and months of being on the road.

Date a girl who travels. Make her feel safe, warm and secure. Make her believe that no matter where she goes, and however long she’s gone, you’ll always be there for her, the one that she can call home.

Find a girl who travels. Date her, love her. and marry her, and your world will never be the same again.”

Evangelism…

Today at church we had the second part of the series with a lady called Charity preaching. She was preaching about Evangelism.

We talked about how we need to share God with people and that for the last years we have had an explosion of evangelism. There are street pastors, ministries, healing on the streets and others. Now the older ways of handing our tapes no longer works but the street pastors are found to be attending festivals and schools and this will grow.

Charity saw a vision. The vision was of a group of many people. She asked God who they were and He replied that its His army for the end times. wow 🙂

The work place is a place where we should share our beliefs. It isn’t just in the office. It is anywhere you go for the business. Although, now a days in most jobs we just can’t share the gospel with them. We are almost forbidden to do so. That is the problem, if we can’t share we get discouraged that it isn’t working. We must remember that we have spiritual gifts and God can help us with these.

There are 7 mountains:
Church, Media, Arts & Entertainment, Government, Education, Family, Business & Economy.
These are mountains in which we could share the gospel. We do need to understand our purpose and then we live with such purpose.

Charity said that she had a friend who was a doctor. The doctor said she felt much less spiritual than her and Charity couldn’t believe her ears. She said that we shouldn’t be… that her friend is working with God and she couldn’t do what she is doing. That she is doing what God wants her to do and is saving children from parts of their body that are injured so they can live a normal life. How would you feel less spiritual? God gave her that ability and she can talk about God in her work place. That is the way we should think. No one is less spiritual than the other.

What do you feel that God is asking you to do? Sometimes we feel we don’t have the skills or we think we have the skill at a lower level than we need. We can ask God for it though.. There are people who were given a whole language over night because they were called to a different nation.. lets seek him.

Ask yourself these questions:
– What do you have in yours hands already?
– What is the vision/mandate God is giving you?
– Where are you positioned?
– What is your Sphere of influence?

If we know what we have, people will ask us how we have such compassion and joy.. even in the bad times.
People feel that they don’t have power. They play computer games or watch movies but when they are no better of!

Daniel 4 verse 6-8
‘So I issued an order calling in all the wise men of Babylon, so they could tell me what my dream meant. When all the magicians, enchanters, astrologers  and fortune tellers come in, I told them the dream, but they could not tell me what it meant. At last Daniel came in before me and I told him the dream. (He was named Belteshazzer after my God, and the spirit of the holy gods is in him.)

Daniel carried the spirit of the holy God and you carry the spirit of the holy God. The people on this earth, the ones that wear suits and think they have power, they look for that power in the news and news papers. If the church doesn’t learn how to hear God then the people will keep looking for the truth in these doomed places. Can you imagine the impact Joseph had? God is looking for Josephs and Daniels. They felt overwhelmed and that the world was more powerful but they believed God has the most power. Some of us are overwhelmed but maybe we are building character to build a relationship with God.

Impartation is a secret weapon in the mountains. Jesus imparted the power of the Kingdom but he knew what he carried. We must believe that we can impart. Without saying a word you can ask God what you carry in faith and release that in the workplace. They begin to come to you and open up to you even when you didn’t say anything. God wants us to have fresh hope and lay down the feeling of not being as spiritual as others. We shouldn’t be afraid.

New Hope – Be a Life Long Learner.

Yesterday we talked about, as the title says, being a life long learner. To learn from something what do you need to do first? Make a mistake right? So, God designed us to keep growing in our faith, to learn more about God and learn from our mistakes.

Are you more adapted to the Kingdom of God or the Kingdom of the World? When we give our hearts to God, we adapt to the Kingdom of God. When you make mistakes, what did you learn? When you stop learning, you stop growing.
We are designed to discover more about Gods plans for humanity. For us. To learn that, we make mistakes.

Trial and error will allow you to grow. We need to make room for both.
A man once said: ‘Love God and sin boldly.’

Sounds weird right? If we love God and want to grow we will make mistakes. If we’re afraid of making mistakes then we might not be able to love God fully.
Proverbs 14:4:
‘Without Oxen a stable stays clean, but you need a strong ox for a large harvest.’

Making mistakes gives you experience. It doesn’t make you wiser. Its reflection of your mistakes that brings you insight. It takes time and reflection to correct wrong perspectives and redefine life’s priorities.

We can be fearful to try again if we make mistakes. But this makes us live cautiously. At church, in activities, in relationships.
But if you never try it, you’ll never know. We can’t afford to live cautiously in such a fast world. People are loosing their hope, their joy, their faith. Jesus Christ is the answer. We should learn what makes Jesus known in this world, we can’t live cautiously to do this. Don’t be afraid of your mistakes. Learn everything you can with them.

Don’t drift along taking everything for granted. Take regular checkups on yourself.
2 Corinthians 13:5-9
‘Examine yourselves to see if your faith is genuine. Test yourselves. Surly you know that Jesus Christ is among you; if not, you have failed the test of genuine faith. As you test yourselves, I hope you will recognize that we have not failed the test of apostolic authority. We pray to God that you will not do what is wrong by refusing our correction. I hope we won’t need to demonstrate our authority when we arrive. Do the right things before we come – even if that makes it look like we have failed to demonstrate our authority. For we cannot oppose the truth, we must always stand for the truth.’

Learn to face the truth, no matter how painful it will be. You can’t move on unless your courageous enough to face the truth and do something about it. the truth will set you free. It can make you miserable. We don’t like that idea. But its worse to hold onto false hoods. You won’t change unless you are miserable enough to do so. When you look at it face on, it changes you. We have an inversion as human beings to correction. Correction seems like personal failure. Nothing can we further from the truth. We need to make the necessary corrections – A discovery of mere potential.

Its all about faith. There more to come. We are to courageously face our corrections.
We are called to be a team of surgeons. To look what is causing the problem. To restore the patient to health. Take the time to learn more about yourself. Don’t be afraid to dig deep. You find treasures when you dig deep. You find the plan that God has for your life. We should live a life of adventure and discovery. To become more like Him.

Psalm 46

afraid, bible, boat, church, country, faith, fear, Fire, God, heart, Hope, Independence, jesus, kingdom, life, living, love, music, people, relationship, trust, Truthful, UK, verses, worship

Yesterday at church the worship was so good. It always is, but today Phil was leading today and he is an amazing musician.
So, we looked at Psalm 46.

‘Be still and know that I am God.’
‘God is our refuge and strength, always ready to help in times of trouble. So we will not fear when earthquakes come and the mountains crumble unto the sea. Let the oceans roar and foam. Let the mountains tremble as the waters surge!’

Sometimes life doesn’t plan out how you would like it to work out. Fear and doubt are two things that can stop us doing things.

For example: the choice of independence for the UK. We are fearing of what could happen when we don’t actually know what will happen. We make choices because the alternative may be easier.

Luke 8:37:
‘All the people of the Gerascene country asked Jesus to leave, because they were all afraid. So Jesus got into the boat and went back Galilee.’

What freedom and healing did they miss out on? What plan did they miss out on because of fear?
Feelings come and go but the results of our actions never leave. We have to listen to God no matter how we feel. We also have to be truthful and real not only with people, but with God to have a deeper relationship with him.

We need to get into the habit of practicing honesty in reality.

‘A river brings joy to the city of our God, the sacred home of the Most High. god dwells in that city; it cannot be destroyed. From the very break of day, God will protect it. The nations are in chaos, and their Kingdoms crumble! God’s voice thunders, and the earth melts! The Lord of Heaven’s Armies is here among us; the God of Israel is our fortress.’

When we remain close to Him, God the father, is when we find our protection. We should take our emotions and turn them into something positive. Not just in Church, but in the nation also!
We are left with the thought that the mission is massive. We are some how limited. Whether its with Kids or time or work. This could be because God is protecting us and so we won’t do it alone and we’ll ask God for help and partner with Him. Knowing our limitations is good because we will realize that God is always with us to help us.

One person is a trickle but a group is a flood.

What is it that God is stiring up in you? What he layed on your heart?

Its easy to feel at times that God has abandoned you.
Daniel 3: 24-25
‘But suddenly, Nebuchadnezzar jumped up in amazement and exclaimed to his advisers, “Didn’t we tie up three men and throw them into the furnace?” “Yes, Your Majesty, we certainly did,” They replied. “Look!” Nebuchadnezzar shouted. “I see four men, unbound, walking around in the fire unharmed! And the fourth looks like a god!”

He is always with us. Even in the fire.

‘Be still, and know that I am God! I will be honored by every nation. I will be honored throughout the world.” The Lord of Heaven;s Armies are here among us; the God of Israel is our fortress.’

What does it mean to be still and know God?
We should include God into everything in our lives. Constant reunion. Even worship music in the background. It keeps our focus on Him.

Practice living in the constant presence.

New Hope – Future Realities.

Ephesians 3:1-6

‘When I think of all this, I , Paul, a prisoner of Christ Jesus for the benefit of you gentiles assuming, by the way, that you know God gave me the special responsibility of extending his grace to you gentiles. As I briefly wrote earlier, God himself revealed his mysterious plan to me. As you read what I have written, you will understand my insight into this plan regarding Christ. God did not reveal it to previous generations, but now by his spirit he has revealed it to his holy apostles and prophets.’

Only through the body of Christ we have future realities.

Revelation 21:1-4

‘Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the old heaven and the old earth had disappeared. And the sea was also gone. And I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down for God out of heaven like a bride beautifully dressed for her husband. I heard a loud shout from the throne, saying, “Look, God’s home is now among his people! He will live with them, and they will be his people. God himself will be with them. He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be mo more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.’

This is the future reality. Far different to what we see now. Its a new kind of world. No kind of evil.
When God first created heaven, he said it was ‘very good’. In the new earth it will be even better. God’s wedding will be there. Everything that is in this earth will be forgotten. All relationship, all bank loans 😉 everything.

It will be paradise.
Revelation 20: 11-15

‘And I saw a great white throne and the one sitting on it. The earth and sky fled from his presence, but they found no place to hide. I saw the dead, both great and small, standing before Gods throne. And the books were opened, including the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to what they had done, as recorded in the books. The sea gave up its dead, and death and the grave gave up their dead. And all were judged according to their deeds. Then death and the grave were thrown into the lake of fire. This lake of fire is the second death. And anyone whose name was not found recorded in the Book of Life was thrown into the lake of fire.’

The lake of fire is the second death for all unbelievers. Everybody’s name who is not written in the book of life will go there. The lake of fire was not for humans. It was created for fallen angels, not man.

The fallen angels are kept in darkness, even on the earth, until the final day of judgment.
We treat sin very lightly. In fact, sin is destructive. We don’t know the capability of our soul. We are made just under the angels which means we can end up like fallen angels.

God is just. He will not condemn anyone who does good. The future reality is a new heaven and earth. Eternal worship. But also, there is eternal separation from God and eternal fire. we just need to believe in God from our hearts we can say what we will go to heaven. We are in the book of life! Who ever has the son, has life. Paradise. We should prepare ourself, believing in Christ can give you the eternal gladness of heaven.

Going Deeper – Intimacy.

Caring, child hood, church, creativity, evil, faith, faithful, father, friends, glory, God, jesus, Joy, King, Knowledge, life, love, lover, Loving, music, our relationship with God, personal, purpose, relationship, value, worship

Today at church the sermon was about going deeper in our relationship with God. Like, not just knowing about Him but actually knowing Him intimately. Before all this, I realized that the lady preaching was Bubbles The Clowns Wife. Now, Bubbles the Clown was a re-occurring face in all children’s child hoods if they lived at least in Inverness. After all the excitement, we got to the important part, the actual sermon 😀

Did you know, God longs to have a personal relationship with us. I guess it does seem hard when we’ve never sat in a cafe and talked for hours with the person to actually get to know them. But intimacy is much more than just being familiar with someone. Intimacy takes time.

We need to develop trust with people before we share our life with them right? Well, the basis of intimacy with God is knowing who we are and knowing who He is.

We need to know who we are. Sometimes we don’t feel loved and we don’t know what to do. But, we belong to God. We are His! All through the bible, God says He is our King and we are His children. God longs for an intimate relationship.

When I was younger, I thought that being made in the image of God meant that we look exactly like Him. I was always confused by  why everybody looked different 😀 Then I realized that it meant we have qualities that God has too. Like, being loving and caring and creative and knowledgeable. We sometimes become what other people want us to be. We become what the most important person in our lives wants us to be. Now, this is fine if God is the most important in your life but for others, other people may be more important and therefore we will listen to them instead of God. We forget what God wants.
We can’t please everybody all the time. Most of us don’t need everybody to love us but we just want someone to value us.
In this world, we are judged by our performance. If we’re not good enough, we’re out.

How do we have an intimate relationship with God? If you only know about God then you don’t know Him. His purpose in sending Jesus was so He can restore the intimate relationship. He is an example of what we should be like. He shows us the way. With God, we can become what we are meant to be.

He is our Father. He wants to see us grow into everything He wants us to be.
He is our King. He is the King of all Kings.
He is our Friend. He no longer calls us servants, but friends. He wants to hang out with us, to spend time with us. He wants us to share with Him when we are annoyed, sad, disappointed, joyful or happy and what our hopes and dreams are.
He is our Lover. God is love.
He can be trusted. He has a plan for us. Nothing surprises Him. Nothing can turn Him away from us.
He is Faithful. He is true and won’t let us down.
He is Just. He fights against evil but always acts in love.
He is Good. All things work together for good for those who love Him. When we grasp His goodness, we realize His glory.
He is Generous. His love knows no bounds. He can do more than we could ever imagine.
He is fun and He wants to eat with us.

That sounds like someone I’d want to hang out with anyway 😉

The more we discover of who God is, the more we reflect of who the image of God is.
Who are we? We are His.

New Hope – Who is this Jesus?

Last night at New Hope we talked about Who Is This Jesus? So, lets see if I can make sense here…

Rituals or religion won’t make you know God.
1. Measure Jesus by God’s WORD, not mans.
Knowing Gods word is about knowing who God is.

“Now these (Bereans) were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the Word with much eagerness examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so” (Acts 17:11)

To do this we should have daily devotions and journaling.

It is the process of knowing Jesus and becoming like him. You will become more like him when you sit and reflect on what you read. That is when it changes you. If you reflect , there is no going back. Reflection can change us. Feed yourself with the Word, becoming faithful and teachable to God.

2. Ask Jesus to reveal himself to you.
“If anyone is willing to do His will, he will know of the teaching whether (or not) it is of God” (John 7:17)
Be sure to keep an open heart. Jesus will reveal himself but you have to ask.
“He who has My commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves Me, and he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and disclose Myself to him” (John 14:21)
Revelation comes only to those who obey.

If you have a closed heart you won’t have that revelation. He will show you who he is. His very being and heart. You will know who Jesus is.
If we keep His commandments, he will reveal Himself. How? reading His word and being obedient.

3. Respond to Jesus.

He calls us to respond but not everybody does. He wants to reveal Himself. Most of us don’t want to because we know we have to commit.
Do we know everything about Jesus? No. But God does. He knows all the unanswered questions. Some we might only know in heaven. The bible tells us everything we NEED to know to be able to live like Jesus. It is all in His word.
God is a Just judge. He has created us in His image and He has created Heaven for us. He didn’t create Hell for humans. Hell is for fallen angels. It is not Gods will for us to go to Hell.

God needs to be accurate and Just. He holds the universe together with his Word. When God tells us how to live its not because He is a party pooper, its because He is precise and He knows what is best for us.

“And answering Jesus they said, ‘We don’t know.’ He also said to them, ‘Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things'” (Matt. 21:27)
In other words, “If I cannot be accountable to the truths I already know, why should He reveal to me truths that I don’t yet know?”

God will not respond to you if you choose not to respond to Him. We need to choose to commit to Him. Instead of getting to know Jesus we compare ourselves to people. We need to compare ourselves to Jesus!
In mans eyes, we think our actions are better than others. Then, you will create your own little world. It’s not true.

“But when they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are without understanding” (2 Cor. 10:12)
To get to know Jesus is our goal.
Jesus takes us how we are, and changes us.
It will help us to understand who God is. We will value people like he does, not look down on them.

“Behold, now is the acceptable time, behold now is the day of salvation” (2 Cor. 6:2)
If you think your worthless, its a lie. Also, we’re not better than others.
We have to develop our relationship with Jesus and our life should be reflecting Him.
Ask yourself, do you know Him well? or are you comparing yourself to others? Lets avoid that and feed on His word.

Today we went to Staffel See. On Sundays there is nothing open so the lakes are pretty busy. First of all I read some more of my book in the sun. it was boiling today too.. 🙂  After a while I decided to take the paddle boat and go on a boat trip round the island. It is so pretty there!
I actually went twice. Once with my auntie and my uncles girlfriend and then also with brother. I love these boats!! I think its so much fun to paddle.. We figured out after a while that its better just one person paddling. As I was enjoying it so much I paddled most of the time and then my brother also wanted a shot haha! I hope I can go back there and go on the boat again with more people:-)  Afterwards, we also went into the Beer garden right near by. We ate dinner there. Then, I came back to Oma Ingrids for ‘Kaffee und kuchen’ (coffee & cake) and Katharina and I also took some pictures in Oma’s garden.

Tomorrow our friends from Inverness are flying to join us in Germany and also their cousins. I am excited to see them but it will also been 8 more people to try and keep happy with activities we do:D it should be super fun though!! we have to stay at oma Ingrids until around midnight to give our friends and their cousins the key for the guest houses they are staying at.

I will leave you with some pictures!
