Today was the day we headed for a deliciously wonderful Dores Breakfast. As always, it didn’t let us down. Most of us had French Toast with Maple Syrup and Bacon. I don’t like bacon and never have (as far as I can remember) and its Vegetarian week so I just order it for Rachael or Rachaels brother who is always delighted when I don’t finish my French Toast and Bacon lol!! Anyway, it was wonderful and I even tasted the highly loved Banana and Strawberry smoothie. Love it! Before having our breakfast we took Soly for walk along the beach. It was cold, to say the least. I was definitely not particularly dressed for the freezing weather. I was wearing a dress. Not the best of ideas. But the faithful Peta and Maria were prepared with a jumper and jacket that kept me looking hilarious but lovely and warm πŸ™‚

We returned back to the Finlaysons house for tea and I hanged out with Rachael for a but while Becca was picking up her new car!! It’s SO cool… and she’s an awesome driver πŸ˜€ I love your car Becca! πŸ˜€ Afterwards, while Rachael was hanging out with her school friends, Becca, Peta and I went into town for a Costa, to cut some keys and Becca bought some beautiful blue vans. This is when I really wish I was a size 5. No one is size 6! We had a funny experience cutting the keys where Peta thought that it would take an hour or two until he’d finished but with in the space of 20 seconds he’d already finished. Peta was absolutely astounded which made the key cutters day haha!

We met up with Peta’s parents and ate dinner in a restaurant. Rachael and I shared a plate of Nachos… You’ll see how big it is in the pictures but seriously how could even 5 people eat all that! I think we should of got a small portion and shared it. It was yummy though! They even soled Ginger Beer which was ace!!
Lastly, as it is Saturday night we went to Coffee Affair where some of our church play music. It was really fun, especially because we got to embarrass Rachael by dancing around the street. And it was worth it because people in the streets started going into the Cafe. Great! πŸ™‚ Now, I am tired and Rachael is staying at mine overnight πŸ™‚ I will leave you with some pictures:

Today in Aberdeen was another fun packed day. This morning I woke at about 8am and was the first one up. I made myself a cup of tea and partly got myself ready before they also woke up and we had a feast of a breakfast.Β

Image

I then borrowed Samantha’s hair straighteners and straitened my hair only for it to get wind swept during the day.Β
Image

Β

First of all, we took a little walk down to the beach and the fishing village since it’s only about 5 minutes walk. The fishing village thankfully had no fishers outside with fish but we saw the cute cottages. We then took a quick visit to Asda to buy some lunch.Β

Image

After lunch we took the bus into town which dropped us of right outside the cinema. We went to see ‘Grown Ups 2’ I really wanted to see it and so we did a vote on which movie. It was 2 against one so we went for Grown Ups πŸ˜€ It was good but kind of odd at some parts. After that, we walked into town where Samantha had to take a picture for her passport photos and then went to the food court. We couldn’t decide. We though TGI Fridays is always good so we went there.Β

Image

Β

It was another brilliant day! I am super tired after all the walking we endured πŸ˜€ So, 10pm = bedtime.Β

Goodnight πŸ™‚Β

Sunday was our last day in Germany. Our flight was not till 10(ish)pm so we still had until about 4.30pm before we had to catch the train to Munich airport. I spent the morning packing. Packing is especially difficult because I only had the maximum hand luggage for 3 weeks. I managed though! For Lunch Oma and Opa came for lunch at a restaurant in Hohenpeissenberg. It was so delicious and my last Bavarian meal for this year.

Image

Β

Afterwards, we went back to Oma Ritas and then Opa took us to Weilheim train station. So we hopped onto the train. It was roasting! I don’t mean the roasting where you have to just take off your cardigan. I mean the roasting that someone was Dehydrated in the train, they had to call an ambulance and we were all hanging our heads out the windows to get the little bit of cold breeze. Dad luckily knew that the train near us was also heading to Munich so we made a lucky escape before we melted πŸ˜€ I think it was an older train and had no air conditioning.

When we arrived at the airport I went into Muller to buy some German chocolate to add to my collection of gifts for my friends because well, I did have chocolate but it melted πŸ˜€
We went to security and I was so happy that I didn’t get ‘beeped’. My dad emptied his pockets, had to take his shoes and belt off etc and then he found a 20 cent in his pocket haha! They said for him just to go through but in the end he did get ‘beeped’.
We arrived at our gate and sat next to a lady in a wheelchair. She was hilarious and had such a funny sense of humor. Definitely made our plane delay more joyous. Β
I saw a lady sitting reading. I think it was a bible. I’m pretty sure it was. She had a big hand luggage hand bag and her bible with a blue cover in her hand. Every half an hour you hear microphone voices saying ‘All luggage and important belongings must be looked after at all times’ or something along those lines. She left her hand bag on her chair and just walked about with her book, that’s all. No phone, no camera, nothing. Her bible was the most important thing she owned. I thought that was cool! πŸ™‚Β

Anyway, after our 30 minute delay we strolled slowly onto the plane. By this time it was 10.30pm and I was about to fall asleep on the spot. When I thought I might be able to rest a group of Glaswegian loud teenagers decided to sit in front of me. I was not happy! Mind you, sometimes they did make me smile but most of the time I was just annoyed because I was super tired. We landed in Edinburgh around midnight and caught a taxi to pick up our car. We arrived at the car and it wouldn’t start. The battery died. The only thing we could do apart from calling the taxi at midnight to give us a jump start was roll down the hill behind us and hope for the best. All going well the car would start and it did! I went straight to bed when we got the my dads friends house.Β

Today we traveled back to Inverness. It took us a while longer because we stopped for a lunch break. When I came home I unpacked and then decided I needed tissue paper for peoples gifts so when It stopped raining and I cycled to Asda. Without a jacked. Stupid idea πŸ˜€ It started pouring half way to Asda. I should’ve known but I just cycled really fast and came into Asda drenched. But I got my tissue paper lol!!
Then, Rachael came to my house and we hung out for a while and caught up with all we’ve missed the past 3 weeks.Β

I really enjoyed Germany as always and I am so excited for my up coming travels in December πŸ™‚Β

P.s If you haven’t read. I am starting a new strategy soon. Here are the ideas:Β https://journeythroughlife15.wordpress.com/2013/07/08/new-ideas/Β feel free to comment inf you haven’t already given me any feedback about it πŸ˜‰Β

Today was absolutely boiling! I think 37 degrees… But that couldn’t stop me from filling my day.
First of all I went with my dad to Wielheim. There was a festival there but we just walked through it because it was too hot to sit down anywhere. I needed some ribbons to decorate Oma Ingrid and Oma Ritas flower bunches. After we bought them we headed to a field where they especially grow pretty flowers for people to pick. I love picking flowers.

image

Oh I forgot to say.. I found my dream scooter πŸ˜€ yes please! Lol!

image

After a little creativity I organised the flowers and separated them into two bunches with ribbons.

image

After I delivered these thank you flowers,Dad, Oma Ingrid and I went for ice cream. How can you not in such heat? But I got a waffel again, so tasty!

image

image

image

There was another festival in Peiting but we also just walked through that because Oma then needed to drop something of at somebody’s house at a farm and there were animals. Yes there were cats. Yes I sat there for ages stroking and playing with them. Yes I wanted to take them home afterwards.. They are just beautifully adorable:) oh and there were pigs and cows. Young pigs and cows. I love farms πŸ˜€

image

image

I mean.. Look at them!!! On our way home we also saw the sunset

This morning I already had to start my packing because tomorrow night it is time to fly to Edinburgh, stay the night there and come home on Monday.

Yesterday we headed back to Munich. There were still a couple of things I wanted todo before our holiday in Germany ends.
So, in heat of 30-35 degrees we went in the underground to arrive in Munich. Firstly, we got ourself lunch and then I really wanted to go up the Olympic Tower so we took the train 2 stops and we were there.

image

When we Arrived we were welcomed by music πŸ˜€ that made Munich sound like Italy!

image

So we walked to the tower..

image

image

image

And then there was a lift up. The lift was SO fast!:D and heres the view.. You can see everything

image

image

On our way back we stopped by a shopping centre because I needed to look for shoes.. I live in my fake toms and I am afraid they are dying so I needed new ones but I didn’t find any 😦 instead, I came home with this:

image

So pretty!! And only €10

As I told you the last time we were in Munich I really wanted to visit the Japanese Tea Garden. It just sounds so cool but we it was closed when we arrived so the outside is as good as we got.

image

That was the end of our day and I came home so tired.

Today we cought the train around 10am straight to Karlsplatz in Munich. I spent the train journey reading my book and finished it in a cafe we stopped by in while looking around. I love the book! I must say.. I cried. Lol!! It is unpredictable and there is always something going on which leads you chapter by chapter. I have now moved on to reading ‘The Help’ which I have heard is a good film.

image

image

image

Anyway, we had a look around Munich where there was a market on with loads of cute stalls (gift hint!) I bought a couple of things that I am jelous of because I just love things like this!

image

I also went into to Newyorker (my favorite) and found some wonder sunglasses. Blue.. Of course!

image

While walking around we saw many playing instruments in the middle of the city where they of course have a lot of tourists come to watch. These were my favorite!

image

There are so many pretty buildings which I captured on camera.

image

image

image

We also went through the VERY expencive street with all the shops selling bags for hundreds. Thousands. We didn’t go in. We just walked passed and headed for the “Englischer Garten” which is apparently where all the students go to study. It is the 2nd largerst garden in Munich or Germany. I forget. It is so pretty! Peta, there was also a Japanese Tea Garden!! But we didn’t have the chance to look there although I really wanted to!!:(

image

image

image

I had another lovely day. I always love going to Munich!

Today we didn’t plan anything enormous but it did end up pretty busy. I needed a few things so I set of to a place called Schongau where I had already seen some things. Then, I came to Oma Ingrid and lay in the Sun for a while testing my new earphones which by the way are amazing! They are Philips and weren’t that expencive. The bass is so good and I don’t even have to turn it up half way before it blocks out any other surrounding noises.

We then took a trip into the village and I bought a shirt (you will see it in the pictures!) Katharina has the same one but in red and I of course have it in blue:D 7,50€!! What a bargin.

We walked back, ate Dinner and Katharina and I also sang and played a little guitar. We have two songs which we’d like to perfect. My Dads auntie then came to pick us up for ice cream. Yum!:)

I am back at Oma Ingrids and we have to wait for our friends and their cousins to drive here from the airport before we can leave because we have the keys for the guest houses they are staying at.

Apparently, its meant to be 30 degrees tomorrow. If so, I will be impressed! I really want to row on the boat again. So fun!

Outfit:)

image

My buys πŸ˜€
Shorts – 10€
German magazines (never too much practice) – around €4 for both
Pen – €2,79
Curbys – 99 cent
Earphones – €10

image

Schongau.

image

Of course.. Had to stop to cuddle this cat!:D

image

Dinner was so yummy!

image

Ice creams

image

Matching shirts but different colours.

image

We just can’t stop laughing!

image

Too cool for school.

Today we went to Staffel See. On Sundays there is nothing open so the lakes are pretty busy. First of all I read some more of my book in the sun. it was boiling today too.. πŸ™‚Β  After a while I decided to take the paddle boat and go on a boat trip round the island. It is so pretty there!
I actually went twice. Once with my auntie and my uncles girlfriend and then also with brother. I love these boats!! I think its so much fun to paddle.. We figured out after a while that its better just one person paddling. As I was enjoying it so much I paddled most of the time and then my brother also wanted a shot haha! I hope I can go back there and go on the boat again with more people:-)Β  Afterwards, we also went into the Beer garden right near by. We ate dinner there. Then, I came back to Oma Ingrids for ‘Kaffee und kuchen’ (coffee & cake) and Katharina and I also took some pictures in Oma’s garden.

Tomorrow our friends from Inverness are flying to join us in Germany and also their cousins. I am excited to see them but it will also been 8 more people to try and keep happy with activities we do:D it should be super fun though!! we have to stay at oma Ingrids until around midnight to give our friends and their cousins the key for the guest houses they are staying at.

I will leave you with some pictures!

Vlog Blog Day 4 – Hot Weather and Beergarden.

Today I thought, was especially warm. Getting close to 30 degrees. I say to people that I will not be impressed until it hits 30. I remember last year, I was in Munich. In the city. Around lunch time, the worst time for heat. And I think to remember it was 35/40 degrees. Seriously unbearable. 30 is good though. Now, if you are Becca, Peta or Rachael you will laugh at this. Tonight it began to get colder. Now when I say colder I mean 19 degrees. I actually put a jacket on.. At 19 degrees… I am usually a human heater πŸ˜€ I guess I have gotten used to the German tempretures and now what would be warm in Scotland is cold for me. I have heard of the heat wave in Inverness though!:)

So today we went into Weilheim for a little while before heading to a lake. I bought a salt spray. Sounds weird right? Well apparently after you have been swimming you apply it to your hair to give you beautiful beach waves. I tried it an I am very pleased πŸ˜€
After the lake we headed in search of Ice Cream. We came to my favorite Ice Cream parlor in Peisßenberg. Delicious.
In the evening some of us went to a Beergarden. Timmy, Dad and I ate dinner there and Oma and Opa just had something to drink. It was nice:) I also read quit a lot of my book. I am at a really ‘spannend’ part of my book right now. I can’t think of the English word but really exciting and not knowing whats going to happen and all that haha! Oh by the way, I am reading Noughts and Crosses by Malorie Blackman. So good! If you haven’t read it, you should! Even though I’m only half way though it my brother of course has already finished it and he loved it so thats a good sign too;)
Anyway, I will leave you with a couple pictures:

image

Look how cute Timmys ice cream is… He only wanted one haha!

image

And Katharina never fails to choose the prettiest of ice creams πŸ™‚ yum!!

As you can tell by the lateness of this post that today was a busy day. The mornings are always nice and relaxed so I spent some time writing my journal and reading my book.

image

image

We then went to pick berries with Oma:-)Β  Afterwards we picked Katharina up and done a bit of shopping where I found a bag for €5!! seriously, in Germany that’s amazing.. everything is normally super expensive here!

image

We then met the other Oma and went to a delicious ice cream parlor.

image

looks amazing right?!
We had a last minute decision of Katharina staying with us at Oma Rita’s for the night because she cut Timmy’s hair and she is cutting mine tomorrow.

image

She also gave me some lovely gifts!

image

image

Katharina and I took a trip to the lake. It was so beautiful there. We did question swimming but by that time we were cold. We came back around 10pm but it felt much later! The water was surprisingly warm for the night. That was probably because we were so cold outside the water.

image

image

image

It was a beautiful day!:-)
