Yesterday we arrived in our hotel at around 12.30 (hence why this blog post is a day late)
Yesterday was… eventful. To say the least. It all began at 10pm on Wednesday night. One of the teachers phoned to inform us that our train has been cancelled. So instead, one of the head teachers drove us down to Edinburgh in the terrible weather. Seriously, I couldn’t even open the boot of the car without being blown away. It was horrendous! With winds up to 140mph, we were all, even by this point, worrying whether our flight would actually set off. Luckily, it was only 7 minuets delayed. We all thought that everything was going to plan, when the pilot spoke to us and said that Hamburg airport was closed… he said that Copenhagen airport was closed and the other nearest to Hamburg was Berlin. Berlin isn’t close. It is 4 hours from Hamburg. We were SO excited. Who would pass up going to 2 cities for the price of one? They organised a bus to drive us into Hamburg so we did get to see some of the city, even if it was dark. To add to this, the driver didn’t even take us into to town, he took us to the airport. The airport was pretty cool but it was dead. Apart from a few others, we were pretty much the only ones on the train when two men and a woman came on. One of the guys had just been punched in the face by a black guy because the other guy was being racist and accusing him of taking drugs. We were right behind them at this point which was kind of scary. They were drunk and brave woman was keeping them apart. She claimed to know the black guy. We moved seats and the police came but they had already gone. To top it off, we got lost in Hamburg and it started to snow and then hail. Eventually, we found our hotel and went straight to bed.
It is Friday now and I woke up at 6.30am which means I had 5 hours sleep. I don’t even feel tired. We have a buffet breakfast in half an hour which, to be honest, I am looking so forward to 😀

Sunday was our last day in Germany. Our flight was not till 10(ish)pm so we still had until about 4.30pm before we had to catch the train to Munich airport. I spent the morning packing. Packing is especially difficult because I only had the maximum hand luggage for 3 weeks. I managed though! For Lunch Oma and Opa came for lunch at a restaurant in Hohenpeissenberg. It was so delicious and my last Bavarian meal for this year.

Afterwards, we went back to Oma Ritas and then Opa took us to Weilheim train station. So we hopped onto the train. It was roasting! I don’t mean the roasting where you have to just take off your cardigan. I mean the roasting that someone was Dehydrated in the train, they had to call an ambulance and we were all hanging our heads out the windows to get the little bit of cold breeze. Dad luckily knew that the train near us was also heading to Munich so we made a lucky escape before we melted 😀 I think it was an older train and had no air conditioning.

When we arrived at the airport I went into Muller to buy some German chocolate to add to my collection of gifts for my friends because well, I did have chocolate but it melted 😀
We went to security and I was so happy that I didn’t get ‘beeped’. My dad emptied his pockets, had to take his shoes and belt off etc and then he found a 20 cent in his pocket haha! They said for him just to go through but in the end he did get ‘beeped’.
We arrived at our gate and sat next to a lady in a wheelchair. She was hilarious and had such a funny sense of humor. Definitely made our plane delay more joyous.
I saw a lady sitting reading. I think it was a bible. I’m pretty sure it was. She had a big hand luggage hand bag and her bible with a blue cover in her hand. Every half an hour you hear microphone voices saying ‘All luggage and important belongings must be looked after at all times’ or something along those lines. She left her hand bag on her chair and just walked about with her book, that’s all. No phone, no camera, nothing. Her bible was the most important thing she owned. I thought that was cool! 🙂

Anyway, after our 30 minute delay we strolled slowly onto the plane. By this time it was 10.30pm and I was about to fall asleep on the spot. When I thought I might be able to rest a group of Glaswegian loud teenagers decided to sit in front of me. I was not happy! Mind you, sometimes they did make me smile but most of the time I was just annoyed because I was super tired. We landed in Edinburgh around midnight and caught a taxi to pick up our car. We arrived at the car and it wouldn’t start. The battery died. The only thing we could do apart from calling the taxi at midnight to give us a jump start was roll down the hill behind us and hope for the best. All going well the car would start and it did! I went straight to bed when we got the my dads friends house.

Today we traveled back to Inverness. It took us a while longer because we stopped for a lunch break. When I came home I unpacked and then decided I needed tissue paper for peoples gifts so when It stopped raining and I cycled to Asda. Without a jacked. Stupid idea 😀 It started pouring half way to Asda. I should’ve known but I just cycled really fast and came into Asda drenched. But I got my tissue paper lol!!
Then, Rachael came to my house and we hung out for a while and caught up with all we’ve missed the past 3 weeks.

I really enjoyed Germany as always and I am so excited for my up coming travels in December 🙂

P.s If you haven’t read. I am starting a new strategy soon. Here are the ideas: https://journeythroughlife15.wordpress.com/2013/07/08/new-ideas/ feel free to comment inf you haven’t already given me any feedback about it 😉

In 19 and a half hours (Yes! I am counting 😀 ) I will be leaving to go to Edinburgh airport. I hope there is WiFi that I can connect to there! Then I can update you 😉 I just hate going through security. I always get beeped and then they check me and there is of course nothing and they let me carry on into the ‘boarding’ area. It’s such a boring, annoying part of the airport. It’s for safety though 😀 Then, it’s passed security to find our ‘gate’ and now comes my favorite part… shops 😀 There are so many good shops in airports. If we have a lot of time I always grab myself a Costa and take a wonder around. Anyway, we haven’t even reached tomorrow yet. In the mean time, you’ll be happy to know that I am all packed! Or at least I think so. I hope I haven’t forgotten anything.

These are going in Timmy’s bigger suitcase:D

I must say, I think I’ve done reasonably well with the whole only allowed hand luggage scenario.  Timmy has a huge suitcase because he is staying for 5 weeks so he can have some of my stuff 😀 No doubt.. I will be shopping there.

This morning at around 9.30am one of my fake little sisters phoned me from the airport. She was waiting for her plane to Greece with her family. She of course was super excited and told me about her hotel with a swimming pool! This got me excited for Germany.

In exactly one week I will arrive in Munich where it will hopefully we glorious weather! I am really looking forward to going to the lakes and enjoying the sun. The sad thing is that I don’t tan.. but the good thing is that when I burn it doesn’t hurt 🙂 Today, I started the mission of trying to fit all that I will need for a 3 week holiday in a hand luggage suit case. Yes! Hand luggage. For 3 weeks. I can tell you it’s a task but I think it’s going well (so far!) If all fails I can always steal some space from my brothers suitcase (he has a big one because he’s staying for 5 weeks.) So it will be OK:) I’ve tried to pack the minimum because I know that I’m most likely going to go shopping there too. I can’t wait.

I always make a list just to make sure that I don’t forget anything.

See… it’s not overflowing! yet..

I will give you a more detailed packed suitcase probably at the weekend 🙂 I hope everybody is having wonderful holidays!!

P.s in case you wanted to know, this was my workout today 🙂

But leg lifts instead of lunges.

Goodnight<3
